This is the Wiki for the Newsletter for Targumic and Cognate Studies. The intention of this site it to provide a resource for anyone interested in ancient Aramaic, Syriac, and related literature through articles edited by scholars in the field.
Thank you to those who are beginning to contribute. If you would like to be a contributor please email me, Christian Brady, and I will create an account for you. Once you have an account and log in, simply search for a term of an entry that you think should exist or that you want to verify its veracity and view the results. If nothing shows up click on "create this page" and begin!
A note on conventions. I recommend that the Society of Biblical Literature Handbook of Style be followed for all abbreviations, titles, and notations. This includes the use of "targumim" for the plural of targum. One exception is that they capitalize "Targum" but not "midrash" or "haggadah." This is an inconsistency so "targum" is acceptable.
